Asakusa is one of the most well-known spots in Tokyo, so naturally you are offered an abundance of choices when it comes to accommodation.  However, how do you distinguish the good ones from the really awesome ones?  The really awesome ones have a stylish café and bar in their lobby, and what’s more, have the best prices in the area, starting from 2,000 yen!

The newly opened Hotel & Cafe East57 Asakusabashi is located a 2-minute walk away from the Asakusabashi JR and Subway station, therefore all the popular spots such as Akihabara, the electronics paradise, or the traditional temple and suumo town, Asakusa and Ryogoku, are all easily accessible from the hotel.  Apart from the basic facilities such as washing machines and dryers, East57 also comes with a café and bar in the lobby, including an outdoor terrace, which serves as a great place to meet fellow travelers!  The café and the bar are situated in two different buildings, with the café located in the main building , and the bar and terrace in the Annex.  Both are available for accommodation and are only ~50 meters away from each other.

East 57  offers a wide selection of delicious craft beer and cocktails in their café and bar, giving tourists a unique taste of Japan.  However, what good are these drinks if you don’t have delicious food to go with it?  Hotel & Cafe East57 Asakusabashi also offers a wonderful variety of fusion cuisine, ranging from your typical Japanese Edamame and Gyoza, to Western style pizza and pasta.

Despite having just opened in February, 2017, Hotel & Cafe East57 Asakusabashi is already overflowing with bookings, but they have come prepared.  East57’s rooms come in all shapes and sizes, from capsules to single rooms and tatami style rooms, with 155 beds in total!  There are male or female only floors, and also mixed floors as well.  Each floor comes with a special card key, so security is nothing to worry about.  And of course, like all quality hotels, East57 offers free, high-speed wifi, satisfying the needs of every tourist.  You need a TV in your room? They've got it! Just put in a request and a TV-attached room will be available upon your arrival!

I’ve stayed here and I can easily recommend it. I had a spacious private room for 3 people, and it was a cheaper option than staying alone at other places.
