This whole area is really neat. Nearby you can also find the carp streams, and a really neat little tea house that will serve you free tea in a zen garden. Great place to take a relaxing day.
I would recommend anyone who is by to try out the Champon. It's a specialty of the region and is always fantastic! It's not the fanciest or the most traditional food, but it is really good.
A cool renovated castle. Definitely check the surrounding area out though. The old Samurai Quarters was actually my favorite part of the place!
I think if everyone took a tour of this place, the world's view of nuclear weapons would be entirely different. Really shows the devastation, and the culture of peace that Nagasaki has adopted.
Fantastic Garden. If you are into this sort of thing, great place to visit while in Nagasaki.
They have some really good restaurants. Pretty cool to walk around at night. The place is pretty nicely lit up, and sometimes the ships are lit up as well.
Great Chinatown! I would highly recommend getting some Chinese food while you are here. It's all just amazing!
Decent art musuem. What I highly recommend however is to go onto the roof garden on the top. Has a great view of the harbor!
Really fun theme park. I have been there twice. I would reccomend to get the "passport" ticket. The one that allows you to access everything in the park without having to pay for additional fees. That is definitely the best deal. One of my favorite things to do was the little 100ft tall bungie jump they had.
The second time I went there was for a 10k run. They organized it really nicely and it was an excellent run!
This is a really fun hands on park to enjoy. While I was there I got to take pictures with Kangaroos, flamingos, and so many more animals. Really awesome zoo to visit if you are in the area.
There is a really neat exhibit where monkeys will jump on your back. Highly recommend that!
