Ueno Park 上野公園
One of Japan's first parks, this central Tokyo 133-acre park contains various facilities such as museums and art museums, small lakes with boats for rent (row boats, cycle boats and swan boats), a zoo and more. Ueno Park is a popular destination for visitors from abroad as well as for locals and is a famous destination for cherry-blossom viewing.

Great location for a fun family day out as there is also the zoo and museums in the park. It is particularly beautiful in the spring. However, if you don't do well with crowds, avoid it during cherry blossom season when it is particularly crowded.
Save a whole day for this park! It's huge, and the zoo is really fun. If you play Pokemon go you can easily fly though several hours without noticing. Great food nearby too
Ueno Park is always a must visit for me whenever I visit Tokyo. It's big, beautiful and there's plenty stuff to do. Do check out Ueno Zoo, which is only 600 JPY and get some shaved ice or a crêpe nearby the entrance. They are -amazing-.
