If you're going for comiket I suggest going in winter. The amount of people will make it super hot. Obey the lines and try to figure out where you're going before you start walking, it's a long walk. Unless you're buying doujin stick outside with the cosplay. It's less crowded and way more fun... Unless your idea of fun is getting really really personal with strangers. PLEASE never take photos of cosplay that's not in the separated area. There's no room and they are just trying to get food or rest!

If you're visiting for Dollpa, make sure you join the right queue! The outside queues are usually for signings/meet and greets; you'll need to queue inside to draw a lotto ticket to see if you can make any special purchases!

Personally, Comiket was the biggest congregation of cosplayers I've seen in Japan. I could have spent a few hours taking pictures of different characters but the sun was scorching this day. Make sure to have at least a hat with you.
