This is a cool, historic building in its own right. There is a fantastic viewing area up on the 5th floor, and a delicious sushi-go-round (kaiten sushi) restaurant on the 3rd floor.
So you’ve been visiting Tokyo and have yet to buy those very important souvenirs for your loved ones, but don’t want to compromise your sightseeing time? Then a must-visit spot in the central area of Tokyo is KITTE Marunouchi. Just a few steps next to the west exit of the iconic Tokyo Station, you will find the entrance to this beautiful and exciting shopping and dining area.
KITTE is housed within the renovated Japan Post Tower (JP Tower) which in itself is a sight worth visiting and over 7 floors, it accommodates is a wide range of souvenir shops, trendy clothing, recognized foot retailers, and even a cultural heritage museum (Intermediatheque).
Whoever made the selection of shops, definitely had in mind the crafty and harmonious designs that Japan is famous for. As you walk around the various floors, you will also be able to enjoy the magnificent triangle-shaped design of the building, take a break on one of the several available sofas (each floor has a seating area), or look over the railing and enjoy the action below. And to top it all off (literally) head over to the KITTE Garden, on the 6th floor and walk along the wooden deck of this rooftop garden while enjoying the view from above of Tokyo Station.
