Fukuroda Falls 袋田の滝

Fukuroda falls flows over four levels of a large rock cliff and is recognised as one of Japan's three most famous waterfalls. It has a height of 120 meters and a width of 73 meters. Each of the four seasons offers unique scenery of Fukuroda falls.

Beautiful place to visit, especially in Autumn when all the leaves are a rainbow of colors. Tricky enough to get to unless you are familiar with the area. There is a bus though, which is probably the easiest way to go as a first timer.

Without a doubt, autumn is the best time to go - the falls with the changing leaves is the iconic scene for Fukuroda. It does get BUSY though - it's a popular and well known spot to see the foliage, so just be aware of that.
