Ogura is a Japanese restaurant specializing in Miyazaki's famous local dish Chicken Nanban.

While traveling around Miyazaki I was told by locals to try Chicken Nanban and that the best place in town was Ogura. Tucked away between the big Tachibana-dori street and the small Shiki-dori shopping area, it is a small and very popular restaurant.
Chicken Nanban is deep-fried chicken topped with a thousand island sauce and pasta on the side. Their Ogura Chicken Nanban (おぐらチキン南蛮) is served with an additional side of rice and costs 1010 Yen (it's the big picture on their menu). Other choices here include Japanese staples, such as Tonkatsu (トンカツ, deep-fried pork cutlet) with rice for 1080 Yen and Hayashi Rice (ハヤシライス, hashed beef with rice) for 670 Yen. Their drink choices are orange juice, coca cola, coffee, and beer (from the bottle).
