What's great about this place is that you can take a cable car and go sit in it and it will carry you up to the mountain for a lovely view: you can take pictures along the way.

You can also hike up the mountain, and get some exercise: as well a different from ground up, and get a closer look at the mountaineous areas, look at unique flowers that grow there, see if you notice trees that are different from your country of origins.

After all that sightseeing around the mountains: drop by a restaurant to eat: Homemade Noodles Nanashi
address: 4093 Hojo, Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture

Homemad noodles, and fresh veggies,& meat.
650 yen for salt dumpling noodle soup.
Delicious tasting.
Makes you want to come again.

Soy sauce ramen: 1 cup 500 yen: very affordable, Nostalgic place.

The mountain has awesome views from the top, and even has restaurants and gift shops at the top. There's also a ropeway/gondola if you're not feeling the climb but want to enjoy the views!

Been there twice so far. I climbed it once and took the cable car the other time. Great day trip!
