If you’re looking for a place that serves authentic Thai food, you might want to pay Thai Garden in Shibuya a visit.
Located only a few minutes from Shibuya station, this gem is hidden on the basement level of the Yokota Building. They have a nicely decorated interior with wooden walls and soft lighting. The restaurant offers a non-smoking area with Western-style tables and chairs, as well as a few “zashiki” rooms, Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats and low tables, where you are allowed to smoke.
While it is a lovely place for dinner, I would suggest coming here for lunch where they offer delicious lunch sets (only on weekdays). They have three standard lunch sets – Fried Rice with Basil (バジル炒めご飯 Bajiru Itame Gohan), Green Curry (グリーンカレー Guriin Karee), and Fried Chicken Curry (鶏の炒めカレー Tori no Itame Karee) – and one daily special. I highly recommend the green curry, although it might be a bit spicy for sensitive tongues. All sets include a soup, a salad, and desert.
For just 800 to 900 Yen (without tax), you will surely leave the restaurant with your Thai food cravings satisfied!
